Major cold front
Did you see it Monday morning?

The WeatherRadar shows so many weather features, and this morning's cold front was no exception.

'Tis the season for big cold fronts bringing chilly autumn days! This morning's cold-front-induced cloud in the Mid-Atlantic could be seen from above via satellite and from the ground! You may have been notified about it on the app too.

This cold front is bringing wet and even snowy weather to the Northeast. Read more about it from Meteorologist Mary Mays.

Cold fronts are the leading edge of a cool, dense air mass. When enough warm, moist air is out ahead of it, we often see a line of clouds or one large cloud extending along the front, as we saw on the WeatherRadar this morning.

The cold, dense air lifts the warm, moist air mass ahead of the front. This lifting causes the moisture to cool and condensate into a line of clouds or one big cloud. If you see a feature like this be sure to send us a snapshot in the uploader on the app!
