All weekend long
Hot-tober: unseasonable heat remains

If your boots, scarves and flannels have not been touched this October, you're not alone. Temperatures have been well-above average and continue into the last pumpkin patch weekend of the year.

You've probably been getting iced pumpkin spice lattes as opposed to the hot ones thanks to the warm October temperatures we've been having. Many across the U.S., got a quick taste of fall at some point, but the TemperatureRadar shows we're right back to September-like temperatures this weekend, especially for the southern tier and even the central Rockies and northern High Plains.

Saturday

If the pumpkin patch is on your Saturday agenda, residents in the northern Plains to the Northeast will only need a light jacket with temps running up to 8 degrees above normal, especially in the Dakotas and Upper Midwest.

To the south and west, the TemperatureRadar shows that shorts and t-shirts will be plenty from Montana to Arizona and eastward to Florida. Some spots may need to bring an umbrella as a front passes along the Tennessee Valley to the Carolinas.

Sunday

Closing out the weekend at the corn maze? The Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and the Southeast should keep an eye out for wet activity. Otherwise, the WeatherRadar shows quiet skies. The warmest weather, once again, sticks to the southern tier with the mercury reaching as high as the mid-to-upper 80s. However, about two-thirds of the CONUS will be running as much as 12 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Mind the TemperatureRadar trend for the coming days!
